Madikwe River Game Lodge is situated on the banks of the Groot Marico river within the Madikwe Game Reserve, which is a haven for wildlife in the North West province of South Africa. A pleasant four and a half hour journey by car or a quick forty five minute trip by airplane, this lodge is easily accessible.
The Madikwe River Game Lodge offers 16 thatched chalets that can accommodate 32 adults and 12 children collectively. Yet each chalet has been individually decorated to reflect its own personal ambience.
There are 3 double rooms with king size beds, 6 twin rooms, 6 family rooms and one suite. All these chalets are of a split level design and are tastefully set surrounding the main lodge. Every effort has been taken to provide guests with the ultimate in comforts and each fully air conditioned chalet has an en suite bathroom as well as an outside shower, private lounge and outdoor deck providing glorious views of the forest surrounding the serenely undulating river.

The malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve is a world renown reserve that spans more than 75000 hectares of african bushveld and is the natural habitat for more than 350 bird species and various mammal species including the big five. Sightings of African Wild Dogs and the reclusive Aardwolf are regular.

Luxury Safaris range in a variety of prices and, as an indication of what to expect, one can pay anywhere from R2 000 to R20 000 per person per night sharing and more, depending on the choice of accommodation, season, specials and other determining factors.
