Buffalo Ridge Safari Lodge nestles along the slopes of the Tweedepoort Ridge. and offers wonderful panoramic views across the Inselbergs and northern plains of Madikwe.
The central lodge is uniquely placed on the slope of a hill crossing a ravine which separates it from the luxurious suites and chalets. Each chalet has been carefully positioned on the ridge to maximise the glorious birds- eye view of the natural settings of the Southern African bushveld.
Buffalo Ridge Safari Lodge proudly boasts that it is the first totally owned community-based safari lodge to be developed in Southern Africa and is a complete eco-tourism partnership between the North-West Parks, the Balete Ba Lekgophung Community, and the Nature Workshop. The community greatly benefits from this unique and successful concept.
Access to the eight chalets from the central lodge is via a sturdy wooden bridge which spans a ravine prolifically adorned with rock figs. Each chalet has its own natural charm and ambience and the décor tastefully exhibits natural shades and textures. Sliding doors divide each room and shower and the individual viewing decks complete a wonderfully private and luxurious experience.

The world class Madikwe Game Reserve spans 75000 hectares of bushveld and is home to more than 66 large mammals including the famous Big 5, and over 340 different species of birdlife.
