The Game House

The Farm House offers 5 presidential en-suite bedrooms that can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests. Amazing views are to be had from every window of these spacious and modern villas that have every comfort. Guests can either choose to unwind in the spacious lounge with private bar or amble through the lush garden to take a dip in the luxurious sparkling heated pool. A personal butler is always on hand to serve an exciting cocktail as you languish on one of the patios.

The River House

The River House is a luxury split-level villa set right on the banks of the Marico River. The 3 double en-suite bedrooms can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults and 4 small children. The villas are fully air conditioned with a fireplace for those chilly winter evenings and guests sleep in super-king size beds to the soothing sounds of the flowing river outside. The elegant bathrooms treat guests to an amazing bushview from the tub and there is an outdoor shower in addition to the indoor ones. The separate family/study room can accommodate up to 4 children sleeping in bunk beds. Here they will be thrilled to find they have access to a computer with internet, satellite TV, Playstation 4 and a selection of DVDs.

Handpicked African Art tastefully adorn this stylish and spacious villa where guests have the undivided attention of a staff of 7 or 8 at their beck and call. These include a personal chef, butler, hostess, nanny (if required), housekeeper and personal safari guide.

Meals are prepared to the individual's preference and the spacious living area can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests or they can dine al fresco around a crackling fire should they choose.

Guests relax on comfortable loungers beside the heated pool on the pool deck which overlooks the Marico river. A perfect spot for candle-lit dinners under the stars.

The villa is surrounded by a wooden verandah that offers private little nooks for the outside showers and leads to an elevated walkway beside the river.

Whilst the River House is absolutely private, it is still within walking distance from the Owner's House which makes it ideal for combining the two to cater for larger groups.

The Owners House

The Owner's House exudes elegance and charm and is the pride of the Morukuru Family group. Two magnificent en-suite bedrooms can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests and the villa offers full air-conditioning, fans, a fireplace and insect-screening sliding doors.

Mirrors on either side of the sophisticated central living area enhance the beauty of the plush furnishings and add to this, state-of-the-art digital entertainment and all home office facilities.

Built from Madikwe stone locally crafted, this villa combines a unique african authenticity with superb wood and glass design. In addition to the elegant dining area and formal lounge, there are two terraced balcony areas with outdoor seating where guests can enjoy an array of mouthwatering meals specially prepared by their personal chef. Working out of the fully equipped kitchen, your private chef can prepare a wide variety of gastronomical delights including high teas and open-air pizzas.

For a colonial “out of Africa” culinary experience, guests can dine by candlelight under the stars sipping fine wines out of crystal glassware with fine linen and off silver cutlery. The personal butler has a vast knowledge of delicious South African house and estate wines and is always willing to advise on the best meal and wine combinations.

For a unique bathing experience, guests will exhiliarate in the well known “bushveld bath”. A glorious heated infinity pool set a little higher and with a natural curtain of cascading water, this is an absolute delight.

The Morukuru lodges are situated within the world class Madikwe Game Reserve that is home to 66 large mammals including the famed big 5 as well as more than 340 different species of birdlife. The Marico River along which the lodges lie, is a haven for fishing enthusiasts. Yellowfish, Catfish, Bream, Eel, Carp, Papermouth and Three Spot Tilapia are but a few of the many types of fish to be found inhabiting this majestic river.

Children are most welcome at the Morukuru Lodges. Staff are all family orientated and there is a variety of activities on offer to ensure children have a wonderful time. Children who are up to the age of 16 can go on safe informative bushwalks accompanied by skilled and experienced rangers who make every effort to make their experience enjoyable and memorable. They will be taught to fish and will have the opportunity of cooking and eating their own catch around the riverside barbecue as well as a host of other activities such as swimming, baking and going on kiddies adventures with their own Morukuru Kidz backpack that is filled with safari orientated goodies.
