Pafuri Camp is considered by many to be one of the best birding locations in South Africa. With many rare species - such as the Pel's Fishing Owl - and passionate game guides, this lodge is a favourite amongst safari-goers and birders alike. Pafuri Camp is also very well known for their game walks in one of the most biodiverse places inside the Kruger National Park and makes for one of the most beautiful African safaris.
Situated in the Makuleke Concession, Pafuri Camp is in the Northern part of the Kruger National Park. Pafuri Camp offers guests a variety of activities such as guided walks and game drives. Even specialist birding walks or drives are on offer allowing for exploration of the history and archaeology of the area. Pafuri Camp is set right on the banks of the mighty Luvuvhu River, and regular sightings of leopard and elephant and various other species of wildlife.
There are 19 comfortable designer luxury tents with en-suite bathrooms. Seven family tents which sleep up to four people. The location offers an exceptional view over the Luvuvhu River. The main area has a swimming pool and access to a refreshment area. The camp has the potential to sleep up to 52 people.
Pafuri Camp also has a private villa called Baobab Hills, which can sleep a total of 8 guests. The villa comes completely equiped with the following:
- Completely private location away from the main lodge
- Private chef (if you prefer self catering, you may bring your own food that your private chef will prepare for you)
- Private butler
- Private ranger with a private vehicle
- Private swimming pool
Pafuri Camp is positively teaming with Wildlife. Known for its large population of leopard and herds of elephant, viewing from the Pafuri camp can prove to be extraordinary with a healthy population of buffalo, zebra, and giraffe. Nyala and impala are constant along the Levuvu River. Exclusive bird walks are on offer at Pafuri (with prior arrangement)

- The camp is not fenced; children must be under adult supervision at all times.
Due to the frequency of rates changing, we do not publish official rates on this website. Luxury Safaris range in a variety of prices and, as an indication of what to expect, one can pay anywhere from R2 000 to R20 000 per person per night sharing and more, depending on the choice of accommodation, season, specials and other determining factors.
