Fitzpatrick's Lodge is situated in the Jock of the Bushveld concession, within the Kruger National Park. It is ideally suited for small groups and families.
Fitzpatrick Lodge gets its name from the author Percy Fitzpatrick, who is best known for his classic Jock of the Bushveld. Sir Percy was one of the first pioneers seeking his fortune toward the end of the nineteenth Century.
Fitzpatrick's Lodge, a part of the Six thousand hectare Jock Concession, is known for its, Authentic Safaris, personalised service, exclusivity, and privacy.
Fitzpatrick's Lodge, has just three suites, each one equipped with:
Two rooms can take a maximum two adults two children per room.
Fitzpatrick’s can take a maximum of 6 adults and four children.
The lodge can be reserved as a whole, with its personal chef and game ranger. Or individual suites can be booked. Menus can easily be personalised to fit guests requirements on condition the entire lodge is fully booked.
Fitzpatrick's Lodge offers an immense and diverse selection of wildlife.Sightings of the Big Five are frequent as well as Hippo, Cheetah, wild dog and a diverse array of antelope. Guests will be treated to rare sightings on the evening game drives of the more rarely seen nocturnal creatures, such as; aardwolf, porcupine, serval, genet, white tailed mongoose, brown hyena. The more rocky landscape of the Southern part of the Kruger National Park, klipspringer, baboon and rock dassies can easily be viewed. Giraffe grazes lazily on tall trees while herds of zebra and wildebeest happen to graze on open plains.
Avid Birdwatchers can see over 350 species of bird recorded. Fish Eagles, Steppe Buzzards, Southern Ground Hornbills nesting sites are close to the lodge. Malachite Kingfishers, Southern Carmine Bee-eaters are often seen. 34 different species of frogs can be seen and heard on a frogging safari.
